Florin Diaconu Florin DIACONU was born in 1958, in Bucharest. He has graduated from the History & Philosophy Faculty of the University of Bucharest. High school teacher (1985-1990). Professional journalist and political advisor (1990-1993). He has been Researcher at one of the Institutes of the Romanian Academy (1993-1999). He has graduated from the National Defense College in Bucharest, in 2001. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science (with a thesis dealing with limited and total war along the world history). Lecturer (and later on Associate Professor) at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest – FSPUB (main job at this very moment). He also is Senior Researcher at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute (IDR). He has published several volumes, some 75 academic studies and articles, and several thousand newspaper news, reports, and comments. He is a founding member of CIESPRISS (the Interdisciplinary Center for Excellence in Political Strategies, International Relations and Strategic Studies, a research centre within the framework of FSPUB) and of the research structure called HANS J. MORGENTHAU CENTRE: An academic and civic initiative for a Realist approach to International Relations, Strategic Studies, Political Science and Political Praxis.

 LOVÁSZ A. Miklós LOVÁSZ A. Miklós is jurist, with extensive experience in parliamentary work. He also taught as guest lecturer at the Department of Political Sciences, University of Bucharest and the Department of Philosophy, Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest.

 Adrian Bunea Adrian BUNEA has graduated from POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest, holding a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (B.A.Sc.) in petrochemical engineering (1993). He also holds an M.A. in International Relations, at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest (2013). He has also graduated two major courses at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute (IDR), in the areas of International Relations and Security, and Diplomacy (both of them in 2011). He is a private antrepreneur in the insurance broking field, and he was an associate lecturer at the Insurance and Pensions Institute. He serves also as a Vice-President of the Romanian Aikikai Aikido Foundation, and teaches Aikido in his Bucharest based Kenshin dojo. He is also a founding member of the Hans J. Morgenthau Center.

 Alexandru Diaconu Alexandru-Tudor DIACONU (born on October 25, 1989) has a Bachelor’s Degree in History (2011) and a Master’s Degree in the History and Practice of International Relations (2013), both obtained at the Faculty of History, University of Bucharest. He is a graduate of the Initial Diplomatic Training Program, organized by the Romanian Diplomatic Institute, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His most relevant professional experience is a year spent as an expert, Department of Communication, National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives. He has been a senior intern and author at the Hans J. Morgenthau Center since August 2014.

 Mihai Avram Mihai AVRAM holds a BA in Political Science and a MA in International Relations, both of them from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest. Currently he is studying for a PhD in Political Science at the same university. He has been selected in several occasions for internship programs at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute (IDR). He is both a founding member of CIESPRISS and a founding member of the Hans J. Morgenthau Center. His main research expertise is on Chinese national (including military) power. He has published several studies, including some in Romanian Military Thinking.

 Emanoel Matei Emanoel MATEI has a Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics obtained at the Faculty of Informatics, Titu Maiorescu University, Bucharest. Currently he is studying for a MA in International Relations ("CyberSpace in International Relations"), at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Bucharest. He has been a senior intern and author at CIESPRISS and is a founding member of the Hans J. Morgenthau Center since August 2014.

 Ionel RADOVICI Ionel RADOVICI holds a BA in Political Science and a MA in International Relations, both of them from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest. Currently he is studying for a PhD in Political Science at the same university. He has been selected in several occasions for internship programs at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute (IDR). He is both a founding member of CIESPRISS and a founding member of the Hans J. Morgenthau Center. His main research expertise is on Strategic Intelligence. He has published several studies, including some in Romanian Military Thinking.

Ioana Ionescu Ileana-Ioana IONESCU holds a BA in Political Science (2007) and an MA in International Relations (2009), obtained at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest. She has also obtained a Master Stricto Senso in Strategic Studies for Defense and Security at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) in Niterói, Rio de Janiero (2013). She was an intern at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute (2006) and a Volunteer with the Bucharest Red Cross (2008). She was also teaching assistant of the discipline Theory of International Relations II at the UFF (2012), and was coordinator of the work group on “Migration and International Security” at the Brazilian International Relations Association 4th annual meeting (2013). She has published several articles, book chapters and a book in co-authorship. She is currently Human Resources Manager at Notary Public Office Ionescu Cornelia in Campulung, and External Communications Officer (online collaborator) with My Ugandan Child, an NGO based in Kasese, Uganda.

Gentiana Tranca Genţiana TRANCĂ holds a BA in Political Science and a MA in International Relations, both of them from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest. Alba Popescu  

Alba POPESCU: MD (she has graduated from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest), and holds both an MA in International Relations and Security Studies (Lucian Blaga University, Sibiu), and an MA in Management of Public Health and Health Services (Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest). She is also Ph.D. student in National Security and Intelligence Studies at the Carol I National Defense University, Bucharest. Between 2001 and 2007, she was General Manager of Salenab/Lifesign Healthcare Nigeria Ltd.

Ima IONESCU Ima (Imanuela) IONESCU holds a BA in Law (1992), an MA in Systems of Public Law and Public Institutions (2007), obtained at the Faculty of Law and Sociology, Transylvania University, Brasov and an MA in International Relations (2009, at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest). She has also obtained a Master Stricto Senso in Strategic Studies for Defense and Security at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) in Niterói, Rio de Janiero (2013), with a research dealing with space power, employing the theoretical framework of offensive realism). She was also teaching assistant of the discipline US Foreign Policy at the UFF (2012). She has published several articles and a book in co-authorship. She is currently Director of Electronic Archive of Security Interest at National Union of Civil-Law Notaries.

raluca nicoara Raluca-Maria NICOARĂ holds a BA in Languages (Japanese and French) and a BA in International Relations and European Studies, both of them at the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. She also holds an MA in Management of International Relations and European Policies, also at the Babeş-Bolyai University. She is a Senior Member of an NGO in Cluj, called The Association of the Students in International Studies (ASSI) and became a contributor to the Morgenthau Center in December 2014. Interested mainly in Japan and the Far East.
